Meet the founder
Jenna Sisk,
aka MahJenna.
Jenna has a passion for people, thoughtful hospitality, and the kind of connection that happens when everyone has a seat at the table.
After entering the event planning industry in 2019, Jenna joined the nonprofit world in 2023 and went on to host hundreds of community events. Along the way, she discovered how much a welcoming gathering can mean to individuals, communities, and companies alike.
Jenna first sought out Mahjong as a social outlet and an intellectual challenge. She was quickly mesmerized by the beautiful tiles, charming tablescapes, and the game’s rare ability to bring people together. Palmetto Mahjong Company grew from her desire to share all three with anyone willing to learn.

Before we gather.
Do we need our own Mahjong sets?
No. We bring the tables, tiles, racks, cards, and teaching materials needed for your lesson or event. You just need to bring yourself!
How many people can attend?
Lessons work beautifully with four at a table, hence why RSVPs are best if possible (though an odd number can be accomodated). Beginner classes or private parties are usually 8-16 players and guided open play is up to 20 players. Larger hosted events can be customized to your group and venue.
Where do you host events?
We come to local storefronts, private homes, clubs, offices, and event venues. Share your location in the inquiry form and we will confirm availability.

Let's get together! First you'll fill out this form or give me a ring. Then we will discuss what type of event you're looking for. Whether you're looking to join a lesson by yourself, or organizing a corporate event for 100, we will make it happen! I will follow up promptly and confirm all the details. Day of, you will attend a perfectly curated event, learn the game, practice what you have learned, and play like an old pro! I'll cover set up, lesson flow, and all the clean up.
